We started with two bitches "Tina von der Lahnburg" and "ltta von der Kettelerstraße". In addition the line Stapelfelderhöhe was taken in. This was the beginning of our dachshound-kennel. In each liason we pay strikt attention to the maintanance of the old blood in order to preserve the good character of our dachshounds.
In accordance with this motto we still breed roday. We get the apreciation for our work when we see how successful our dachshounds are, for example Yna von der Ferdinandsburg was already the European Youth-Champion, Club-Champion and Country-Champion. Further champions are Bella von der Ferdinandsburg and Xona as well as Zorra von der Ferdinandsburg.
We get a lot of reinforcement by our grandchildren. They derive joy and pleasure working with our dogs and are already quite successful. Lukas was Youth-Champion with Norma vom Fiskediek in 2000. Our dranddaughter Britta won the title European Youth-Championwith the wire-haired dachshound Inque von der Ferdinandsburg at the European Champinoship in Dortmund 2001. Shortly after the title Country-Youth-Cahmpion. Inque ist a daughter of Yna.
As third grandchild Emma follwed: At her first show "Child and Dog" she was already very successful in 2005.

The dachshounds are
accomodated in our house and in a summer house with a lot of space to move about
in. They have accomodation with the family and are - along with the
drandchildren- looked after by the whole family.
Enthusiasts from Germany, France, the Ukraine, Italy, Spain, Japan, Brasil, Chile and the USA enjoy the procreation from the kennel ,,von der Ferdinandsburg".
